MiyahThon 3 tracks
Individuals:
The individuals' track is where innovations and solutions provided to companies are adopted. An individual can submit an idea to solve one of the presented challenges or apply to one of the five sub-tracks.
Companies:
A competition between companies, provided that the solution is at a high technology readiness level (TRL 7 and above) within the five sub-tracks.
Water Production & Water Resources
This track focuses on developing innovative solutions to enhance the sustainability of water resources and improve water production from various sources. This is achieved by raising operational efficiency, reducing energy consumption and costs, and enhancing the reliability and quality of production processes, ultimately contributing to water security.
Water Reuse & Circular Economy
This track focuses on maximizing the utilization of water resources by developing solutions for water treatment, reuse, and resource/energy recovery. This supports circular economy principles, enhances environmental sustainability, and reduces the environmental footprint of the water sector.
Digital Technologies & AI
This track focuses on developing and deploying digital and emerging technologies that drive a transformative shift in the water sector—such as Artificial Intelligence (AI), the Internet of Things (IoT), robotics, data analytics, and automation. The goal is to improve operational efficiency, support decision-making, and foster innovation across all stages of the water value chain.
Smart Water Infrastructure
This track focuses on developing smart solutions to elevate the efficiency and reliability of water infrastructure—including transmission and distribution networks, reservoirs, pumping stations, and asset management. It leverages modern technologies to optimize operation and maintenance while minimizing water losses.
Sustainability & Customer Experience
This track focuses on developing innovative solutions that boost water efficiency, enhance the customer experience, and improve the quality of life. It achieves this by supporting sustainability, governance, policies, and social innovation, while encouraging the adoption of more efficient and sustainable practices and behaviors in water resource utilization.
